Micky McGregor is a Geordie actor from Newcastle and a BAFTA Elevate participant, working across film, television and theatre. His screen credits include Vera, Ridley, The Old Oak, I Came By, The Hunt for Raoul Moat and Wolfblood, alongside Ken Loach films I, Daniel Blake and Sorry We Missed You.
Selected by BAFTA as one of 21 actors for its Elevate programme, supporting experienced screen talent from underrepresented backgrounds to progress to the next stage of their careers. Elevate was an industry development programme for established talent, offering tailored support, introductions, mentoring and networking.
This was not an entry-level scheme: BAFTA’s 2019 actor cohort was selected from performers who already had professional screen experience and were seeking to progress further.
